 What is Jikiden Reik

An authentic, Japanese, hands on healing. "Jikiden" translates to "directly taught." This is significant because it has no modifications. It is meant to be taught exactly the same way that it was in Japan over 100 years ago.. "Reiki" meaning "soul energy" is considered an alternative mind, body, medicine. Reiki is performed by using "subtle energy." to eliminate toxins from the body. Rather than using fixed hand positions following the chakra system, Jikiden Reiki practitioners use their hands to sense areas in the body where there may be an accumulation of toxins. The result is in an authentic, non-Westernized form of Reiki.

Treatment of more serious or long-term conditions can require a more long-term care. The number and frequency of sessions are determined by the practitioner as well as the client.

The body is designed and fully equipped to heal itself. Reiki taps into those innate abilities.

Reiki is a Japanese alternative mind, body, medicine therapy that works with the human body’s energy field. It uses vibrational, or "subtle energy" administered by a light touch to assist the body’s ability to heal itself.

A Reiki practitioner gently places their hands just above or on the client’s clothed body, with the intention of promoting healing by encouraging a healthy flow of energy.

The integration of reiki with psychotherapy proves to be extremely beneficial. Not only are we tapping into cognitive deficits but we can also focus on a holistic approach, one that considers the "whole" person of mind and body awareness.

Mental health professionals are seeking ways to empower clients with tools to manage their emotional and physical discomfort. Reiki provides a tool that allows clients to ground, be fully present in their bodies, and to listen to what may be manifesting as symptoms of anxiety and depression. While talk therapy helps identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. The two modalities together have proven to be an extremely effective combination, creating the ultimate healing path.

Sound/Vibrational Healing

Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses sound frequencies to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. It is based on the principle that everything in the universe is made up of energy and vibration, and that sound, can be used to balance and harmonize this energy.

How does it work?

Sound healing works by using specific sound frequencies to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms similar to reiki. When we are exposed to sound, our brain waves entrain to the frequency of the sound, which can promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote physical healing. Different frequencies are believed to have different healing effects. Sound healers use various instruments such as crystal, or Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, or tuning forks to produce these frequencies.

What are the benefits?

Sound healing can offer a range of benefits, including stress reduction, improved sleep, pain relief, enhanced creativity and intuition, and greater emotional balance and well-being. It can also be helpful for those experiencing depression, anxiety, or PTSD.
